Crescent Beach, located in in Huntington Bay, New York, has a rocky shoreline located not too far from Fleets Cove Beach Park. It is a popular family destination for residents and non-residents coming to this area of the state. The beach is an idea spot for water sport enthusiasts who enjoy water skiing, canoeing and kayaking. The beach also has alternative activity areas for children to enjoy like a playground and swings. Crescent Beach also has a picnic area for families to go to and enjoy a prepared meal from home while watching the waves and taking in the sun.
The beach opens in May every year and stays open through the summer to just about the time children return to school in September. The times that the beach is open is the hours of 8 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Most of the areas at Crescent Beach are patrolled by lifeguards during the hours that the beach is open. Residents may enjoy the beach by purchasing a seasonal or day access pass to Crescent Beach. Non-residents visiting the area may also purchase passes for beach access at a rate that is at a premium to the fees paid by residents of the community.
