Hobart Beach, also known as Sand City, has beach access from both the Northport Bay and Long Island Sound. Its boat ramp is a hard-surfaced, single lane where commercial fishermen are permitted to unload their catch. The beach also offers a playground with a jungle gym, swings and slides. As well as, outdoor showers, motor boating and sailing, water skiing. The beach does not offer a concession stand, but an ice cream truck makes frequent stops to Hobart’s shores. Hobart is also home to the Sarah H. Rupert Water Bird Park Preserve. The preserve, however, doesn’t allow for visitors.
