Crab Meadow Beach

Crab Meadow has it all. Being on of the three beaches in the Northport Area, the public beach is over 1,000-feet wide and runs along the shores of the Long Island Sound. Sandbars are common at Crab Meadow and make the water a safe and fun activity for both kids and adults as the pools of water that form as a result are no more than a few feet deep.

A large playground with a jungle-gym, see-saws, slides and swing, and basketball courts also make Crab Meadow the perfect beach to bring children too for fun in the sun. Several pavilions are situated on the beach equipped with grills for those who wish to cook their own lunch or dinner. Another alternative for hungry visitors is La Casa Café along the boardwalk for a slice of pizza, Italian ice or ice cream and enjoy their snacks on the veranda. Families may also enjoy La Casa’s indoor restaurant.

Fishing, canoeing, and kayaking is permitted at Crab Meadow.
