East Hampton Beaches

The East Hampton shorefront is a magical wonderland, dusted by clean, fine sand and characterized by beautiful beaches and posh resorts around the Montauk area. These are just a few of the lovely beaches of East Hampton. Main Beach is the largest, most centralized beach along the East Hampton coast. Lifeguards at the Main Beach are on duty from 10am to 5pm, and it is very popular with families because of its central location and safe, friendly atmosphere. The Ditch Plains Beach is a hotspot for surfers. It is open from May to September, and features picnic areas and concession trailers. It is a great time to visit in the morning, because there are breathtaking views and the surfers' waves are at their best. The Two Mile Hollow Beach is another beautiful beach that has regular lifeguards on duty. It is a popular hang-out for beachgoers from the LGBT community-but wholly welcoming of any lifestyle. It features a fantastic selection of bars and tasteful adult entertainment within easy walking distance. The Theodore Roosevelt County Park beach is ideal for the beach-loving history fan. There are a lot of historical landmarks, and the waves are not overbearing, making it an ideal place for swimmers.
