Mecox Beach is a Long Island shorefront fixture located in the glamorous and affluent town of Bridgehampton, New York. Just off of Southampton and a bona fide member of the exclusive “Hamptons” beach scene known for its popularity amongst celebrities, Mecox Beach is a popular travel destination for many reasons. One fun activity visitors can take part in is volleyball, which has its own dedicated court at Mecox Beach rather than a simple court. Food is also available. Lifeguards line this beach for safety during the summer months. Swimming is both allowed at Mecox Beach and quite enjoyable. Residents can also barbecue directly on the beach after attaining a permit from the town. Fishing is allowed by all at Mecox Beach. Surfing is also a popular activity, as Mecox Beach has waves large enough to accommodate this activity while still being gentle enough for simple swimming and wading. Picnicking is among of the most beloved activities to take part in on the gorgeous light sands of Mecox Beach. Walks are very enjoyable in this picturesque area. Pets cannot be walked during the peak beach season, but they are perfectly welcome at other times. Whether one brings their dog or not, Mecox Beach is a fun spot to both relax and take advantage of recreational activities offered.
