Long Island New York’s Ransom Beach is an 800 feet long beach in Bayville on the north shore. It is a good option for those who are not fans of mobile concession stands and would like the opportunity to sit down and have something to eat. Restaurants featured just across the street from Ransom Beach include such cuisine specialties as pizza, Greek food, and ice cream to beat the heat on those sunny summer days. The Crab Shack in Connecticut is just a half hour boat trip from Ransom Beach. Live concerts are held frequently at this beach during the summer. Fishing is allowed at this beach.
